Day 362 - Building Gundam 00-QanT

Description

What a surprising day today :D

One thing that I forgot to mention in yesterday's picture, is that an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 was FINALLY released; sadly I lost a lot of features after upgrading because of bugs in the release. Thankfully, I was able to get most of the features (5 icons per column/row, and the lockinfo screens) back after downloading something that I over looked. The last issue so far is the lockinfo screen disappearing from time to time but it isn't a major problem.

Anyway; I finally managed to go to the bank so I ended up going to Metrotown afterwards to see if there was anything interesting at Sakura Media and Metropolis Comics. Luckily enough, as I was looking at the Gundam model kits that Sakura Media had, I saw exactly the kit I had been looking for for the past few months! It was an instant buy and they had a second box as well :3 I also got some card protectors as well, too bad I didn't pick up a deck holder at the same time -.- Along with this, I was going to buy my passes for next years Kotatsu and Cos & Effect but they didn't have the combo deal and I didn't have cash on me, so I'm stuck getting them online :/

Metropolis Comics was closed so I couldn't get a craft knife and gundam markers from there (Sakura Media didn't have many left). I ended up getting one from Staples; I'm so glad that I remembered that Staples was near Metrotown, it saved me the trouble of heading to the downtown location.

After getting home and starting up my computer, I started to build 00-Qan[T]! These pictures show each stage as I put it together; the first seven pictures (the 3x2 section and the loner on the top right) are the building stages and the last three are from when I finished, they also show the buster sword and buster rifle versions of the standard GN Sword. This model kit is pretty good, the arm that holds the sword is actually fairly good at holding the large weapon when I add on the sword bits (the green pieces that attach to the shield unit over its left arm). Still, when I get the chance, I'm going to get the 1/100th scale version; it will be much easier to pose. I'm going post these pictures (and anymore that I take) in a separate album later on :)

Also some special thanks to a friend of mine (checkout his work: www.facebook.com/winstonwongphoto), it was his flash and flash triggers that helped me get such nice pictures! :D

Because I fell asleep a little while after I finished putting the gundam together, I wasn't able to order my passes for Kotatsu, Cos & Effect and Anime Revolution, so that's another thing to do tomorrow :/

3 days to go.. this year is almost over :|
