Day 74

I got the amount of time wrong for Day 73's post initially (fixed it already as well). Now it's been 4 days since the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. So far the confirmed casualty count has reached 3,616 with more then 7,843 people missing, the number is still increasing.. As for the nuclear situation at the Fukushima Power Plant. It is believed that the containment vessels for reactors no. 1 and 3 are damaged and that the pressure suppression chamber for reactor no. 2 is confirmed to be damaged. It is also believed that reactor no. 2 is emitting high levels of radiation, workers have been evacuated and the disaster level was raised to 6. The government has sent a request to the Int'l Atomic Energy Agency to send over nuclear accident experts, South Korea is also shipping its reserve of boron to Japan in hopes of stabilizing the reactors. For a bit of good news, the Japanese market is beginning to rebound.

On to Libya. The talks for the No-Fly-Zone over Libya are still going on and they don't seem to be moving forward that quickly at all (refer to this: [link]). The rebels have lost Ajdabiya and their stronghold of Benghazi is now open to attack, more new on Al Jazeera ([link])

About the Saudi Arabian troops moving into Bahrain yesterday, they moved in to quell pro-democracy camps. Fighting is occurring as the police and military move in. The public is demanding reforms just like the many protests that have happened already around that area.
